Driving Instructions

The Convoy of Hope will take place in the large parking lot north of RFK Stadium where the Metrorail passes over. The lot is located on the north side of C and North Capitol Streets NE, south of Benning Road and east of 22nd Street and Oklahoma Avenue NE.

From points west along H Street / Benning Road NE

While traveling along Benning Road from points west, look for a right-hand turn into the parking lot just after Oklahoma Avenue and prior to driving under the Metrorail overpass. If you reach Anacostia Avenue NE or any point further, including MD 295, you have gone too far.

From points south and north along MD 295

Take the East Capitol Street exit toward Washington. After crossing over the bridge, bear far right. There is an exit directly into the north parking lot.

From other points east

The simplest access to the north parking lot is via East Capitol Street NE. Once past MD 295, follow the bridge over the water and stay to the right. Just after the bridge, there is a slight exit directly into the parking lot.

You may also access the lot from Benning Road, near the Metrorail overpass. However, there has been construction along that route and left-hand turns into the parking lot may not be possible. Use the nearby neighborhoods to safely reverse direction along Benning Road and access the parking lot via right-hand turn shortly after Oklahoma Avenue NE and just before the Metrorail overpass.

From other points west

Convoy is accessible via Independence Avenue, but you will need to make your way to Benning Road for that access. While approaching RFK Stadium on Independence Avenue, take the south "loop" around the stadium on Independence Avenue. Stay to the left and follow the road as it turns into C Street NE. Prepare for a right-hand turn. (You will actually be within eyesight of Convoy of Hope in the parking lot on the right, but there is no access from that angle, so continue driving.) At 21st Street NE, turn right and stay to the right so that you are traveling on Oklahoma Avenue NE. At Benning Road, turn right and take the right-hand turn into the parking lot from Benning Road, just before the Metrorail overpass.
